Nestling in the valley of the ancient River Darent with some of Kent’s finest countryside, Westerham, as the Gateway to the Garden of England, is a charming Market Town attractive to residents, business and visitors. Its roots can be traced back to the Vikings and the Romans.
With easy access from the M25, Gatwick and London, it abounds with cafes, pubs, restaurants and independent shops. It has its own brewery, drawing water from our Greensand aquifer and its own winery using grapes grown on our North Downs. Its most famous residents are, amongst others, Sir Winston Churchill and General James Wolfe and their homes are open to the public. Welcome to all who wish to share our ‘Westerham experience’!

Detailed description of the walk is here.
