The wealth of attractions across Sevenoaks District means there is always something interesting and exciting to do for younger visitors and their companions.
Hever Castle with its water maze, 100-year old yew maze, Tudor Towers adventure playground, miniature model houses, and lake with boat rides alongside a busy events calendar including medieval jousting and regular archery.
Penshurst Place offers plenty of space to let off steam, with an adventure playground, woodland trails, toy museum and fun facts to discover. Calendar of special events including activities for younger visitors such as maize maze, trails and bushcraft.
Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve can provide hours of entertainment with 75 acres of five stunning lakes, mixed habitat ponds, seasonal flooded pools, reed beds and woodland. An informative visitor centre, café, gift shop, picnic areas and toilets make it a great place to visit for all the family. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. The paths are buggy and wheelchair accessible.
Knole – the medieval deer park, with resident deer, and the grounds of this grandest of houses offer everyone more than enough space to spread out and enjoy traffic –free adventures throughout the year. Lots of child-friendly events and actitivites are held throughout the year but primarily during school holidays.
Lullingstone Country Park has a Discovery Trail and zip wire for children and a café, kindling & log shop, toilets and refreshments. Dogs are very welcome.
